What's some etiquette advice for online dating?

I'm a 22 yr old female who's thinking about giving online dating a try -- I live in a small town where it's hard to meet someone. Believe me, I have tried many ways. I also have my preferences; I'd like someone of the same beliefs/morals, etc. I don't want to meet someone at a bar/club or something of that nature. Unlike a lot of people my age, I want to find someone %26amp; settle down fairly soon. I take relationships pretty seriously. (just wanted to give some background info if it helps for giving advice). Anyway, what are some good tips for online dating? What do you do if you get contacted by several people? How do you narrow it down? If you're interested in someone %26amp; dont want others contacting or bothering you, how does that work? I just want to go into this at least having some knowledge %26amp; advice.. Its greatly appreciated. Thanks! What's some etiquette advice for online dating?
I met my husband online! it's the greatest! and I'm not desperate I swear, he had to convince me to get married! ...yeah good memories :)...just make sure the guy is looking for a serious relationship, not just having fun! What's some etiquette advice for online dating?
in my opinion Online dating is the best especially if u never see the persons picture until you guys know each other. i Met my Girlfriend in a MMORPG(massive multiplayer online game) best Girlfriend i ever had yet. best thing you should look for if can have good conversation if you can do that trust me it will be good hope i helped.
I have this friend who is trying online dating also. From what he tells me, the women come across too desperate. He says that most of the women he has met online start organising their future together after the second time they chat. There is one woman he chats to though who keeps things simple and chats to him like a good friend. So my advice would be to keep things simple, chat with guys to make new friends and if anything develops into a relationship then that would be the icing on the cake.
