um, take off your shoes before you go into the house? maybe, don't refuse food--at least try it (for some reason, refusing food is really bad--i suppose it's likened to refusing the culture if you refuse the food..).

it depends. First of all, what ';nationality'; is she/he? Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese etc... next thing is for you to research a little on her/he's customs and beliefs, third thing, get to know him/her above everything. Ask questions. Observe how/what her family does when she/he invites you over to family functions.

Ask th eperson you are dating what custom their family do. Most asian families are a bit the same but always have something different in it. Most asian families have proper greetings to use on the elder, you might have to take your shoes off before you go in inside their house. You will then be questioned by the dad or someone. Asian families are also very tight with families. If you don't like rice you better or else! Chopsticks you need to learn how to use and properly well-manner with them. Everything else is by asking how to act in front of everyone.
If you are worried about learning customs and beliefs, you need to be more specific which country this ';asian'; is from as we do not share the same customs and beliefs as asian altogether. just an overview... japanese slurp their food to symbolise their appreciation of good food where as we filipinos find it ill-mannered, get the picture?
