Advice for guys dating a single mom?

I'm the mom, by the way ... I have two girls (5 and 1), and have been divorced for a year and a half. I'm dating a man who loves me and loves my kids -- and my kids love him and his family -- but there are still times when he's a little overwhelmed.

He's never been married and doesn't have children, although he's always wanted a family. He says there are times, though, when it's just A LOT ... Taking on not only the responsibility of a serious relationship, but also the responsibility of his girlfriend's children.

He's a spontaneous kind of guy, too, and likes to do things on a whim, sometimes -- I'm that way, too, but at times it's not always possible because the kids are so small.

Anyway, I'd like to be able to give him some words of encouragement -- some wise ones!! So if you can help me out, I'd appreciate it very much.

Thanks!Advice for guys dating a single mom?
There really aren't any words of wisdom that you can offer,,, other than patients and understanding on your part... Taking on a ready made family is a hard thing to do,, Your boyfriend will just have to make up his mind on his own,, If he wants to marry you make him understand the ground rules with you and your children and let him live with those rules for awhile before you accept any proposals Your children really have to come first for now anyway,,,, So just enjoy the time you are having now and help him understand and learn how to be a father before you go jumping into a relationship that HE may regret later Good LuckAdvice for guys dating a single mom?
I have been dating a single mom and it is hard. I don't get to see her that much because she is always busy doing things.
